THE DEPRICAME PROJECT ON SPECIFIC ACTIVATED CARBONS OF METOLACHLORE AND DERIVATIVES

DECAP / PRIME / SCIENTIFIC / WATER /

The DEPRICAME project (DEcap / PRIme: PIVOTS platforms for activated carbon specific to MEtolachlor and derivatives) combining the DECAP platform (ICMN – CNRS) and the PRIME platform (BRGM) will be initiated. Funded by the Centre Region – Val de Loire, the objective of this project is to develop activated carbons from lignocellulosic materials derived from residues of local agriculture and possibly to functionalize them in order to optimize the kinetics and the adsorption capacities of metolachlor and its derivatives. Technical validation (tests in an experimental metric scale pilot of the PRIME platform with contaminated natural waters) will be carried out at the end of the project. This development, followed by formal validation, will enable the economic partner (the company JACOBI located in the Cher) to establish a business plan strengthening its development prospects.

Project progress :
November 2018 : kick-off meeting with all partners involved (ICMN, BRGM, ICARE, DREAM and JACOBI company).
