PESAt / SCIENTIFIC / AIR /

Last week, from 13 to 16 November 2017, the National Peatlands Observation Service (SNO Peatlands) and the ICOS-France Research Infrastructure (TGIR) jointly organized the Scientific and Technical Days on the theme: “Gas Cycle greenhouse gas: flows, regional assessments, scenarios and instrumentations “.

These days were the occasion to gather several events: the annual meeting of the steering committee of the SNO Tourbières, the annual assemblies of the networks of the Atmosphere, Ecosystem and Ocean stations, a plenary assembly of ICOS France, a scientific day at the OSUC on the theme of greenhouse gas and finally the tour of peatlands on the site of La Guette on Thursday, November 16, 2017.

An opportunity to highlight the PIVOTS program and more specifically the PESAt platform (Soil-Atmosphere Exchange Platform for ecosystem services of soils and peatlands), that the platform manager Fatima LAGGOUN (Director of Research at the CNRS), has been able to highlight from its tools and research conducted on the subsurface continuum/soil/atmosphere in connection with global changes.
