The 40th Days of the Grand Ouest Section of the French Group of Polymer Studies and Applications (GFP) will be held for the first time since their creation in Orléans from May 23 to 24, 2019. These days, will take place on the site of University of Orléans and will be co-organized by the ICMN, ICOA and GREMI, three mixed units of the University of Orléans and CNRS, whose activities in the field of chemistry, physics, materials and engineering sciences are partly appealing to science and applications of polymers.
The scientific objective of these days is to promote an exchange between the polymerists of the Grand-Ouest region, which covers the Normandy, Brittany, Center-Loire Valley, Pays de Loire regions. The themes that will be addressed will cover the entire spectrum of (physico-chemical) polymers (synthesis, characterization, shaping and properties) for applications ranging from health to energy, from the environment to cosmetics and from agri-business to transport… This symposium will promote oral presentations by young polymerists (contract researchers, postdoctoral fellows, PhD students, M2 trainees …) which will be organized around plenary conferences of prestigious guests (some from the industrial world). The presence of experienced scientific experts from laboratories throughout the Greater West region is an important element, which will contribute to the richness of the debates and the dynamism of the section.
